To understand my question, please go to the following link and scroll down to the section titled "My Workflow" and then to the paragraph titled "preprocessing"; under that paragraph is a picture of three graphs over histograms.
www.dr-lex.be/info-stuff/luminancehdr.html
I opened a photo in Elements 7 and went under the enhance menu and the only "curves" I found was "adjust color curves"; there was no histogram within the graph; and, when I moved the sliders to adjust the graph, the line was becoming a wavy curve instead of the neat straight lines shown in the picture.
Is the author of the article using a feature that my Elements 7 lacks; and if so, do I have a workaround ?
If the case is that Elements 7 lacks the feature he is showing, is that feature included in the "Elements Plus" package ?
Or..........., do I just not know what I am doing ?
Thanks for reading.

The "Curves" feature is not included with Photoshop Elements. Yes, Elements+ includes it.

If the case is that Elements 7 lacks the feature he is showing, is that feature included in the "Elements Plus" package ? Adjust Color Curves is the Elements version of Curves in Photoshop. It is a rather restricted version of Photoshop's Curves, with a simplified dialog box, a few preset settings, and not as many adjustment points. You can also use Elements+ or Grant’s Tools (free) to add Curves to Elements. A third alternative is to use a Gradient Map Adjustment layer in Luminosity mode as explained in . . .

Grant's Tools can be downloaded from this thread. Scroll down to the fifth post.

I guess this is as good a reason as any to go ahead and splurge and get Elements Plus; I have been wanting it for years, but can just never seem to come up with the twelve or so dollars.......poor pitiful me.....
Thanks for confirming that E-Plus has what I need.
On EDIT: it looks like Sepiana and I were typing at the same time; thanks for all the information links; I will check them out.

Hour right elements + has curves. I don't think the histogram works very well though with curves. I may be wrong just something at the back of my head. I haven't got elements 7 so I can't check.
