I guess it's 366 really. ;-)
I need to get back into my photo-a-day routine ... it's such a good tool for me to keep my eye out for shots and find creative ways to photograph the items I usually just take for granted.
I'm making my own list of easy to find, everyday types of items, and have our former lists to give me ideas, but I'm also looking to see what else is out there. I'm not sure I'll join another organized group, but if you know of something, please keep me mind. Thanks!

I'm like you, I need inspiration. In my case, I need ideas for scrapbooking layouts, but I see your need. I'll look around and see if I can find something for you.
EDIT - well, I did a search and didn't come up with one list - even an old one.
But, I have an idea. You know those daily calendars where you have one page for each day and each page has a thought for the day, or a photo? How about using one of those for your inspiration?

Thanks for the ideas and the links Janice and Sepiana.
It looks like I'll have plenty of good ideas to choose from!

Bill, you are most welcome! If I find more ideas, I will add them to my previous post. Success with your 366 project!

I am also looking for a group for this year. I wonder though, how can we assure that our photos we share on the media will not be copied. Do we add a watermark or something to our photos?

Hi chelyn, There is never a guarantee that your photos will not be copied. A watermark might deter some people, but if they are truly intent on knapping your image, there are ways around this. Most folks upload only small images making it difficult to do much with other than sharing on social media.

I think a 365 challenge might be good for me and get me thinking of taking photos. I just don't tend to think on such lines as a camera/phone. I've only got a point & shoot camera but do have camera on my mobile. My photos are usually rubbish so it would do me good to have to think of what is in the photo, light etc.
Could we maybe have a group on here? I haven't a clue how 365 challenges work though so may not be appropriate.

Julie, We did have such a group on the old Elements Village forum, whereby somebody took the rains to come up with 365 and 52 (for the weekly challenge) topics for that year. The participation was through your own blog; that's how I got started with blogging. You basically would set up a blog and upload your challenge photos there and hopefully through the sign up sheet follow others in that group. Participation with this was dwindling on the old forum and so we made the decision that we just don't have the numbers to support this on this forum currently. However, that should not stop you from finding a group where you can participate. Take a look at the links offered in this thread and I am sure you will find something that works for you.

I'd love to find another organized 365 challenge or 52 challenge but until I do I'm trying to knock out the themes from 2014 & 2015 that I didn't complete. That's how I got started blogging too Storki, from participating in challenges in 2014 & 2015 on EV.

Just a fwiw ... I've been doing these since the 2008 challenge, and completed all of them up until 2014 and 2015. Frankly I think there is a ton of value in them. The recommendations at the link Simone shared are really valuable and worth (re)visiting. I drew up a list made up from the lists from previous years, and adding/subtracting some things. My goal for the challenge this year is to spend less time looking for a photo that will fit into a theme and more time thinking about and composing shots of everyday photo opportunities. My journey ... however successful ... can be followed on Smugmug. regularman.smugmug.com/Photography/366-in-2016/ Stop in and say hi! Bill
