Hello gallery people! There were many excellent entries this week and I had a difficult time choosing......in fact, I procrastinated until the last minute and am still dithering........ ....so, here goes:
Feathery Fireworks Twirl by TPGettys – Twirling Tom has created another wonderful twirl. The softness of the feathers is highlighted by the twirling lines which impart a sense of motion. I do have to say though, that all of Tom’s twirls this week caught my eye, and if I’m not careful I’m going to be drawn right into the middle of one some day and you may never hear from me again [ulp!]
Loner by Sepiana – what an interesting perspective and the coyote (? Or wolf ?) is intriguing the way it is looking down the log at something that has caught its attention. The black and white simplicity and interesting frame really set this image off. I kept coming back to this image this week to ensure the animal was still sitting on the log in the same spot and hadn’t vamooshed out of the scene the way animals do…….
Edge of a Hurricane by drjoerogers – another wonderful image! I love the rhythm and the lines in this image of the impending storm. There is a sense of drama with the darkness of the sky/ocean contrasted by the white of the beach. [egad….drjoe just submitted another cool image – Tower of London which I also like……interesting technique....]
and this image just nipped out the other images by a hair for Image of the Week:
Shady Walk Into Town by Jackscrap – I’m not sure what DAP is?? , but whatever it is, I want some…… I like the composition and the softness of this image, and I am drawn to walk down the winding road to see what is around the corner……perhaps there is a Starbucks where I can discuss my gallery choices over a cup of mocha (no whipped cream) with some of my fellow gallerians………
....the end.........and the beginning.........
