Alex....it can be hard to see depending on the image you are viewing but the scroll appears on the image itself.

It is probably just me but I can't see the titles or the owner's comments at all. All I see is any subsequent comments made by others. Clearly people have mentioned scrolling text so I am missing something. Oh well. alexr, if you hover the mouse cursor over an image you should see the (annoying) scrolling title in the image. If you move the mouse cursor outside the image it goes away.

Helen, Tom, thanks and sorry for being late to this discussion anyway, because to be honest I rarely look in people's galleries as I keep an eye on images as they come in via 'Latest Gallery Posts'. Yesterday I was looking on my iPad and this facility doesn't seem to be catered for; is anyone else able to see the scrolling text on a tablet? This morning I am looking on my Mac and the scrolling text does appear, but only when I remember to nudge the cursor - when image preview first appears, the text doesn't, which I find very non-intuitive. So overall I would thank everyone for the efforts thus far and don't want to appear ungrateful or unappreciative but have voted Yuck. I'm clearly in a rather small minority, though.

I don't see the scrolling title when I use my iPhone (Safari); I see the title the way it was before we changed into the thumbnail format -- a static title underneath the image. However, when I am on Windows/Internet Explorer 11/Edge (desktop and tablet), I see the scrolling title.

Aha, I see now, on my iPad in Image Preview I have to tap the image, then the scrolling title and poster's comment appears. Sorry for being so slow, this is clearly obvious to everyone else. :-))

alexr, I forgot to mention that, if I set my iPhone to the Desktop mode, I will see the scrolling title. The title will be static on the Dashboard mode.

How do you "like" a picture in a gallery?

Wendy, just to be clear, if you click the Latest Gallery Posts button on the main menu bar, you will be able to "like" what you see.
