Until last night, photos always showed up in my organizer almost immediately and it was rare to ever see the hour-glass where a picture should be.
Then, beginning last night, instead of pictures, I get a page full of hour-glasses.
No matter how long I waited, just hour-glasses.
Clicking on an hour-glass makes no difference.
Moving the size slider over to single image view would make that particular image show up; then, when I would move the slider back to three-in-a-row size, I would see about one of every four pictures, the rest would still be hour-glasses.
It is not as bad right now as it was last night, but still not as it should be.
What has went wrong and how do I fix it ?
Thanks.

Thanks for posting that; it appears to be a wonderful site.
I will give those instructions a try.
Thanks.

Since this problem manifested itself a couple nights ago, moving the size slider to anything less than three-in-a-row view turned all of my image thumbnails to hourglasses.
Just after midnight last night, I followed the instructions from the provided link and left Elements to digest and renew the "thumbnail cache".
It's now 7:AM and I just checked the organizer; at the moment, everything is working like new; I can now change the thumbnail size to as small as they will go and not an hourglass in sight.
Response to viewing changes is almost immediate.
It sure is nice to have things back to working as they should; like I have often heard, "you don't miss the water 'til the well runs dry".
Thanks so much.

You are most welcome! Glad to hear the rebuilding of the thumb.5.cache file fixed the problem.
