I wish there was a way of looking at threads & knowing if they are ones to which I have posted. We had that in EV - a little blue checkmark appeared to the right of a 'subscribed to' thread.
The only way I can see to do it here is to bookmark any thread you've participated in & then you get a little book icon to the left of the thread.

Bayla I had no idea that was what the check marks meant on EV! Even as the doors are closing I am still learning about that system. I don't know if there is a way to do that here Bayla, but it is a good idea.

Thanks Marianne! Yep, I just learned about that myself! I also learned that at this time there is no way to flag the participated threads in the same way as it was done at EV, but the Participated button you pointed out is perhaps a better solution anyway.

Marianne,
Yes, you can click on that & see all the threads that you have participated in with new posts, but that's only for new posts. If you say do a search for all threads containing a particular word or phrase then unless you also specify your own name in the search you won't know which threads are ones you've posted to & which ones aren't. At EV you can search for just one word and see at a glance which threads you've subscribed to or posted in cos the little blue check mark (what we in the UK call a tick)is obvious.
Hope that makes sense!
Bayla
EDIT: I think the only was to get it to do what I want it to do is to click on Bookmark for every post that I think might be useful.....that way I can search for a word or words and instantly see which threads I have participated in because of the little book icon.

Hi again! I don't think that is the case Bayla; when I click the Participated button I see threads with and without the new icon. I do like your idea of using the bookmarks though, because then you can keep track of interesting threads without necessarily posting to them. I'll have to give that a try.

...and I just noticed that the Participated button even loses the new icon if there are no participated threads with new posts in them! Very cool I think!

Bayla, I rarely search that thorough. But I think it's very helpful if the treads are named accurate. But I think the list contains both "new" participated and "read" participated.
