Every time I look at this picture I wish there was something in it to make it more interesting. Perhaps you have an idea that would give us something to focus our attention on..... i.imgur.com/MYTcRON.jpgRight click on the image to save to your desktop.

Thanks for getting us off to a great start, Billie Jean! I knew our members would have some great ideas for improving this scene. Wondered how you got the splashes in the water and then saw that you had included your sources....thanks for doing that!

Jancy, while I like both of the scenes you created, I really like the way the texturized one blends all the components of the scene. Glad those swans swam away with that bear on the shore!

I also just picked up the Topaz Texture Effects and Adjust in the year-end sale, so wanted to give them a try.

Tom....fun to get some new plug-ins. Like your take on this scene.
Frank....ah, that moon certainly gives us something to look at....like the light it is casting on the water and rocks!

Thanks Helen for the starter image. I included the little boy, who I have previously used in an EP challenge, then added a rain overlay and took the photo into Topaz Lens Effects and applied a Tilt Shift effect and the desaturated the photo a little to give it a more gloomy, rainy look.

Helen, thanks! This challenge was lots of fun.
- Used a photo I had taken at our local marsh for the plants in the water. Lots of masking!!! - Ran the file through Topaz ReStyle. - Ran the file through Topaz Adjust. - Applied a texture by Lenabem-Anna. - Applied the Lighting Effects filter (Filter>Render> . . .).

Simone, glad that little guy has his umbrella but wonder what he is doing out there in such a downpour? Could he have come to feed the swans?
Sepiana.....what a beautifully toned scene you have created. The weeds in the water look they might have been there all along! The moon immediately grabs my attention and I like the texture effect.
