I just loaded elements 14 yesterday and while opening and closing different application I did something and all my catalogs [photos] that I imported from elements 6 from my old computer went away. Catalogs might be an old term from Elements 6. My catalogs are still on my hard drive. How do I get them back into my organizer folders? I am a computer novas so any help would be wonderful. Very frustrated now. Thanks for your help!! Jeffrey

Let's get some terminology sorted out. Catalog is not an old term. All releases of PSE have a catalog. A catalog does not contain your pictures, the catalog has pointers to where the pictures are located on you disk. When you installed PSE14 your previous catalog should have been converted to PSE14 and your PSE6 catalog renamed.
You are probably your missing your catalog all you need to do is find it and point PSE to it. The name should be catalog.pse14db. Once you locate it go to File/Manage Catalogs within PSE and using Custom Location point PSE to where you catalog is located.
If you need additional help please let us know.

Jeffrey - welcome to the forum!
Did you have PSE 6 on the new computer, and then upgraded to PSE 14? or did you have PSE 6 on the old computer and then installed PSE 14 on the new computer? If the latter, how did you transfer your documents from the old computer to the new computer.

yes I have a new computer. MY friend and owner of a computer service put the hard drive from the old computer in my new one temporally and transferd my data. I installed 14 before the moved data from 6 to the new computer. all seems to be running fine now. I will have issues in the future on doubt. Jeffrey

Jeffrey,
You have had a bit of luck in this move of data. The preferred(and safe) way is to do a backup(always a good idea) onto an EHD(external hard drive) and then a restore to the new computer. I never caught you had a new computer, sorry about that. Would have been a different answer.
The backup and restore I am referencing is found under File in Organizer. This makes a copy of your catalog and all your pictures.
