I have been watching this lecture by National Geographic photographer Sam Abell. I thought some of our members might be interested in his analysis of composing and creating an image that moves beyond the snapshot and enters into the world of creating images with impact. His lecture is instructive and his explanation of the process he goes through when composing an image provides the viewer with a lot to think about the next time they head out with their camera. The video is long....close to 2 hours......but if you are interested in improving your photography it is well worth the time spent. I found watching it in segments very doable. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYf9klvk8vQ

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is hard to keep track of all the good and interesting things available, so it is nice when someone recommends a good video or site.
