Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

Frank - Great way to start this challenge. What a capture! The shadows added another dimension to this image.
kathylee -- Perfect interpretation of this theme. Great job capturing these shadows!
You both got lucky. You seem to have the sun shining this week wherever you are so you could find shadows. This is not the case here. The sun has not shown up since I posted this challenge. I am going to have to improvise and create shadows.
kathylee -- Welcome to the Weekly Photo Challenge! If you haven't done so yet, you may want to check what this challenge is all about.

I was lucky with the challenge and with the sun only because I just got back from a cruise and was able to get a quick pic of the sun's shadows. It is cool now in our part of Florida, but the sun is shining here too. Thank you for your comment.

The sun appeared briefly while I was waiting for my train to arrive, so I managed to bag a "selfie" shadow.

The sun finally came out here too - but not until we'd had a big dump of snow followed by a big outbreak of arctic air. Breaking trail with the dog today had to stop and get a back-lit shot of the shadows on the snow that we'd just crossed although we weren't the first. Lots of interesting animal prints - squirrels, rabbits, deer and fox had all been out before we got there. Tony

I have some images of shadows but I can't post them; they were taken before I posted this challenge. I would be cheating and breaking this rule -- Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme.

Brenda - You never cease to surprise me. You took advantage of the brief appearance of the sun and captured some shadows. I was looking forward to a "selfie" shadow and you delivered it. Great capture!
Tony - Glad the sun came out. You got a beautiful back-lit shot! The variety of animal prints makes it "naturally" special. Well done! Kathylee - I really like the patterns created by the shadows cast on the sand. Great finding!

The Force was definitely not on my side. Yesterday the sun shone for the first time in days. I got all bundled up and headed outside. Unbelievable! By the time I was ready to shoot, the sun was nowhere to be seen. Today -- no sun, just gray overcast skies, and lots of snow. So, I had to improvise with a sculpture of the Roadrunner, New Mexico state bird, and a light stand to get a shadow.

Andy, what a capture of shadows! I love it! So mysterious, so intriguing, so film noir. I just keep going back to it.
