To cycle through blend modes:
Open the two layers you wish to blend
Grab the move tool
While on the top layer,
Hold down the shift key, and hit the plus key
You will cycle through blend modes.
You use the move tool because some of the other tools have their own blend modes
I assume there are other tools which will work to cycle through, but for this tip, I was told to use the move tool.

Another tool that works is the hand tool. An alternate way of scrolling thru the blend modes is to place the cursor on the blend mode option and use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down. (Important, first double click the blend option.)

I knew there was a way to scroll. That's how I used to do it, but when I forgot, I was just glad I had the keyboard strokes. Thanks for the info.

I don't use a mouse so tried the first method and it worked like a charm. So useful to know because I use blending modes all the time. Many thanks!
You can toggle between plus and minus too.

After first clicking on the Blend Mode once, you can also use the Up and Down Arrows.
