I was presented with some tough choices when trying to narrow down the images for this week's IOW selections.....but that's always a good thing! Here are my top picks:
Female Northern Cardinal reg ......I like the way this photographer was able to present us with a tack sharp image of the bird against the blurred background of the trees. I am used to seeing the female cardinal with red feathers and it was her unique coloration that made this image a standout for me.

The Spirit kathylee ......A good photographer often calls our attention to things that might otherwise go unnoticed. Kathylee's image of this bollard is a good example.

Dancing Paint #3 deany .......An image like this results from expert timing and technique.....qualities that can often be used to describe Dean's work.

I always love it when the IOW just jumps....or in this case flutters.....off the page at me! @storkington your image was my immediate choice for this week. Your careful planning resulted in a unique image that playfully captures our attention and then causes us to pause and consider how it was created.
