Hi, I have this photo where I would like to make the color much warmer for the foreground flowers and the light on the mountain but not for the sky. www.flickr.com/photos/kunalmehra/25218937655/in/dateposted-public/Typically, I would do this in ACR but that would also make the sky yellower. I could add a new adjustment layer for saturation in the editor but are there any other (better) ways to selectively change the white balance? Thanks!

kufloyd, welcome to PSE&M!
You could try a "selective" Hue/Saturation adjustment layer targeting the color you want to adjust. Use the Channels drop-down menu to choose the specific color channel (Ex.: Yellows, Reds, etc.).
Also, it is a good idea to make most of your other corrections first such as Levels or exposure before making the H/S adjustment.

Thanks Sepiana! So you suggest not changing the WB in ACR and doing other basic edits like exposure etc there and doing the selective saturation adjustments in PSE? I will try that out...thx.

Since you get the best results in ACR for the color balance, I would create two different files optimized for the foreground and the sky. Then I would add one of them as a layer to the other, and use a mask. As a matter of fact, I'd use Elements+ with the script to 'open in ACR' on two different layers with a mask.

I was just addressing your question about how to do the adjustment you wanted in a selective way and using a H/S adjustment layer. You could try and see if you like the results.
BTW, I read Michel's post. I believe he has a better suggestion than mine and one you can do in the Raw Converter. I agree with him; you will get better results.

An easy way to spruce up your image, (if you have PSE 14), is to use: Haze Removal (PSE 14) Shake Reduction (PSE 14) Levels 19, 1.00, 235 Hue & Saturation: Select Grass then Hue/Saturation - Yellows, Saturation +62, Lightness +52. Saturation (Master) +6

I believe haze removal was introduced in PSE 14, not 12.

I believe haze removal was introduced in PSE 14, not 12. Craig, you are absolutely correct. Thanks for catching my mistake! I will edit my previous post.
What's new in Photoshop Elements 14
