Good morning, I am using PSE 13. and when I open the levels drop down box , I cannot find a OK button. Is this normal and if so how do I verify or confirm any adjustments made.
Many thanks Schaf

Schaf,
Starting with PSE8 if my memory serves me correctly, the adjustment layer controls for Levels etc. appear in the Adjustment Panel, so no OK clicking is needed. Prior to that you used to get a dialog box pop up and you had to click on OK to confirm.

Many thanks Schaf Hi Schaf, What are you referring to when you say "the levels drop down box"? There is a levels dialog under Enhance | Adjust Lighting; that dialog box does have an OK button. There is also a levels dialog under Layer | New Adjustment Layer, but again that dialog has an OK button.

If you go to the Enhance menu>Adjust Lighting>Levels, there will be an OK button in the dialog box.
If you go to the Layer menu>New Adjustment Layer>Levels or if you go to the Layers panel>Create a new adjustment layer>Levels, there will be no OK button in the dialog box. These two dialog boxes are identical.
This was one of the changes introduced by Adobe in Elements 8.

Thanks everyone.yes, I was in the layers panel > new adjustment layer>levels. So any adjustment here is automatic and does not need confirmation. Many thanks. Each time I visit the forum, be it the old one or this new one, I seem to understand a little bit more. Boy, it is going to be a long road.
Regards Schaf

I don't believe I would like not having an "OKAY" or "Commit" button.
Without some means of telling Elements you are done with a particular operation, how do you apply or cancel that operation and continue to the next ?
Thanks.

Thanks. Photoshop doesn't have an OK button either. This means that you can go back any time and make changes. The video mentioned earlier in this thread discusses how this works. You may also want to check this document. See the section titled -- "Advantage Four: Everything Stays Live".
