Hello! I am having the same problem, but I don't see a padlock. Hi keystonescience, welcome to PSE&M! Glad to have you here. I believe you are referring to the problem discussed earlier in this thread. Receive message (shown in imaged previously uploaded): "The command "Delete" is not currently available. Options are "Continue" or "Stop" I have seen this message when one is trying to open a Layer Group which is a background layer (locked). Drag the layer's padlock to the Trash can to unlock it and run the action. Now it should work. The padlock is displayed in the layer stack.

Yeah, i'm referring to the problem discussed earlier in this thread. However, I don't think I have the padlock showing up. I am trying to use the AA-ungrouper on the "base" folder, however, I am getting that "command delete not currently found error".
Thanks for the fast reply!!

In theory, you should be able to run the action and ungroup the Base layer. It is already unlocked. It looks like something else is at work here, causing the error message.
In order to help with the direction of our troubleshooting, we need more information. Where did you get this file from? The more details you can give us the better.

Thanks! Now we can do some hands-on troubleshooting.
I also have PSE 13; I will run the action on this file using this PSE version. Let's see what happens. Hang in there!

keystonescience, I figured out why you were getting an error message when you tried to run that action to ungroup the Base layer group using PSE 13. The Base layer group contains three subgroups -- Community Chest Cards (10 layers), Chance Cards (10 layers), and Logo (4 layers). Also, there are some locked files within two of the subgroups. That third-party action cannot handle this scenario. You will need PSE 15 and above. (Adobe introduced the Layer Groups feature in version 15.) I also have Photoshop. I was able to rearrange those layer groups and unlock those files. I tested the edited file in PSE 13. The action works just fine. There should be no problem. I am sending you a PM with instructions how to access this file. Post back if you encounter any problems.

On revisiting this thread, I noticed I had not attached a screen shot showing how the problem posted by keystonescience was solved. Please, refer to the previous post for the details of the problem and the solution. Hopefully this will help others who may encounter such a problem when opening Layer Groups by running a third-party action (in PSE 14 and earlier).

I was having the same issues in PSE 11. Browsed a few options before falling upon this guide. I was a bit upset I had to register just to get the file, but I am glad I did in hopes my future issues will be solved this easily. Thanks again to Sepiana for the files and extremely helpful guide.
