IOW February 22 – 28, 2016 Another week of amazing talent, I love seeing all the different ways people blend together their photographic and processing skills with the results being some very fine images indeed. Hope you enjoy my picks for the week. Chinese Lanterns / Sydney We are always being told to ‘look up’ and in this case I’m glad you did! What an amazing sight to see all those red lanterns floating above you. I remember when / deany I love the colours and the dreamy background, perfectly suited to this quaint little cottage out in the woods somewhere. Starkey forest / kathylee It was hard to choose which one of these stretched pixels I liked best, but this one in portrait mode with a hint of blue sky peeping through won the day. Peek-a-boo Moon / Danudin I like the depth in this one, twinkly lights on the horizon and then the romance of the moonlight behind the clouds and its silvery path on the waters surface. Red-bellied woodpecker / reg Impressive details in this little fellows portrait, and I like how he’s posed so nicely with sunflower in beak, I hope he was rewarded with more treats for his co-operation. Portrait of a gull / Srmoment I like your whole presentation, the muted colours, the background texture and blending, and the lighting all just seemed to grab my attention. First and foremost congrats to all those whose images were mentioned this week and to Pat in particular for that beautiful IOW. Secondly, thanks very Jackie for including mine in the list. Loved your commentary about all of the images!

Judge Jacki, Your Honour, You included one of my shots, does that mean - You really Like me and your normal repartee is a front, Thank you and what an honour it was to be included amongst such wonderful images, Congratulations All! Especially the IoW, although with gulls I expect to see a chip or Yanqui french fry hanging from it's beak. Well Done everybody.
