Sorry, if this has already been addressed - I know I've mentioned it before, but I can't find where. My favorite thing to do when not framing a photo is to use Glow. I also use it to outline embellishments to give them a more finished look. Layer> Layer Style> Glow
When you get the style setting screen, you can change the size of the glow, the color, the angle. On the style setting screen, you can choose drop shadow, bevel, stroke as well as glow. You can use them all. In this example you see the difference when using glow on embellishments. (And in looking at them side-by-side, I think both look equally good, but I still seem to go with Glow whenever I can.) Glow is a personal favorite of mine and in looking back to stuff I did almost 10 years ago, it's been a favorite forever. Photos by cats4jan - white pelicans visit our community yearly.

Looks good Janice. It's not a style I've used very often and I tend to forget about it. I must rectify that. It's little touches like this that can make a big difference to a page.

Wow - so very pretty. Love the soft colors and how you 'framed' the photos - just up my alley.

Whiling away some time and decided to do another page using the Inner Glow Style. I used it on the BG and also on the picture. Pic from e-vint kit used - FragrantSummer by ADB Designs The picture frame is one of the built in ones found under the Graphics Tab.

Your glow around the outer edges gave a nice soft edge - similar to feathering, but what I like about glow is that you can do it with a color. It looks nice the way you did it.
