Happy Easter Monday to Everyone; I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends.
I would like to thank Helen for organizing last week's member IOW poll; amazing job and I think it is fair to say that it was a success. Thank you also to everyone who took the time to vote.
Here are my honourable mentions for this week:
Black-capped Chickadee by jjr1770 (Judy): A wonderful portrait of a little cheeky bird perfectly timed and captured. It reminded me of our little chickadees that come and visit our garden during the summer months.
close-up flower by blackmutt: A stunning macro that is set off by the wonderful contrasting colour combination; sometimes less is truly more.
Going down the Amazon by Sepiana: Sepiana always amazes me with her wonderful textured images. This one makes me wish I was on that boat!
And finally, the Image of the Week goes to deany for Westward ho. Deany's submissions to the gallery this week were all really outstanding and I could have easily picked them all, but this one really got my attention. The sunflowers against the black background really did it for me. A wonderful still life beautifully processed.
Congratulations to everyone and as ever, I am amazed at the talent we have in this community. Keep your work coming and you never know, your name might appear next week!
