I discovered something about the Eye Dropper tool today.
When you pick a colour with the Eye Dropper tool it appears as the Foreground colour in your Toolbar but if you want to pick a colour for the Background hold down the Alt key while selecting the colour with the Eye Dropper tool. I presume if you are on a Mac you would use the Command key.
You can also target a colour selection more accurately by pressing the CapsLock key on your keyboard turning the Eye Dropper tool into a target so that you can pick up one exact colour pixel from whatever source you choose.
