We have seen this happen many times in our freezer when we freeze ice cubes, but do not know what it is called. One time we did see this talked about on the Weather Channel... sure wish we could remember. Does anyone here know what this is called? They always form in totally different shapes and sizes. Sometimes we get more than one in a tray. This time just the one, but he is one of the bigger ones! It sure is fun to see!!

Thank you! That is a great link!!!!!! I should mention we do not use distilled water according to this article, but we do have an RO water filter (Reverse Osmosis) |
