The difference can be seen quite clearly in your example Janice. The Move tool squashes the text whereas using the 'asian text' facility it's the spacing between the letters that is affected without squashing the text. Good result.

I think that particular font actually looks better when the letter spacing is changed. In the original, the letters seem too far apart.
