Before I added photoshop elements I could open pdf files and now every time I open a pdf file it opens in elements and has a grey grid over it. How do I turn off this feature where it opens in elements and opens like it used to? thanks capt don

Hi captdon,
Welcome to the forum.
Without knowing if you are on Windows or not, I will assume that you are. Right click on the pdf file you want to open and click on "Open With" and select the program you wish to use to open the file.

Ok, got that but now any program that I hit won't open the pdf file. It used to do it automatically before I added elements. Is there a windows program that I should be searching for?

Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed?

Hi captdon ; welcome to PSE&M! It sounds like you need to set the association between filetype PDF and the program you wish to open PDF files with. Are you running Windows? If so, this may be of help: changing default programs

Thanks everyone, when my computer crashed while trying to upgrade to windows 10 I neglected to re-install adobe acrobat reader. That windows 10 freebee caused a nightmare. All is well now.
