I have noticed today that when I post anything, when I click on 'Submit' or 'Create Thread' I am immediately taken to the bottom of the page (same as clicking the down arrow on right side of page), rather than be able to view what I just posted.
This is very different from what I should be seeing.....

Well. just now I did not go to the bottom of the page when selecting 'Create Thread' but in my other thread when answering questions I did go to the bottom which is not normal.

Not sure about this, Charles. I just replied in your other thread and I'm afraid I don't know if it's different than usual or not....I guess I don't pay close enough attention....perhaps Tpgettys can address this when he comes on.

I am unclear what behavior you are experiencing Charles. When I try Create Thread everything seems to function reasonably. As I recall, the maximum number of posts/page is 15. I wonder if there may be some weirdness when a post is the 16th in a thread, for example. I honestly haven't payed attention to know, so if you can give a bit more information the next time it happens it would be appreciated.

Well for instance, I just now went to the 'participated' link with a NEW posting at THIS THREAD but when I clicked on NEW this is what I was sent to.... the very bottom of the page.

Do you see my problem now?

I may be wrong but I don't think this is a problem. It is just the way the system works. I experience the same thing. Well. just now I did not go to the bottom of the page when selecting 'Create Thread' but in my other thread when answering questions I did go to the bottom which is not normal. When you create a thread, there is usually only ONE post -- your original post. So, it makes sense there is no bottom of the page to go to. It is just a short thread, with one post. It is all there.
Well for instance, I just now went to the 'participated' link with a NEW posting at THIS THREAD but when I clicked on NEW this is what I was sent to.... the very bottom of the page. There is nothing abnormal here. The system is lending you a helping hand. It knows you participate in the given thread and takes you immediately to the most recent post in it. This goes hand in hand with the e-mail you get when one posts a reply in your thread. It informs you of the LATEST reply.

Do you see my problem now? I understand better now, but it looks like if you scroll up just a little bit you will see that it did take you to the new post in that thread. As Sepiana said, this is just what it is supposed to do. It would be even bet ter if it could display the top of the new post instead of the bottom of it, but that nicety is something we have no control over.

All I am saying is, (and perhaps I should have worded my thoughts better earlier), that in the past when I have clicked on the NEW threads within my participated links, I have always been sent to the FIRST NEW post, not to the bottom of the page. If you say what I am seeing now is the way this system works normally, then OK, I will accept that. Thank you both for your help.

Is there any possibility that you were going via the menu bar -- New Posts>Recently Updated Threads? I am asking this because if we go that way, it works exactly how you describe -- "sent to the FIRST NEW post, not to the bottom of the page".

No, I went thru the 'Participated' NEW links, as I did just now. Today it brought me to your message as I feel it should have, and as it did in the past. Time will tell how it works in the future
