Many folks have probably moved on and no longer use Apple's Quicktime for playing videos. That's a good thing since Apple no longer supports Quick Time. Here's a link to the HomeLand Security Warning Written up in the Washington PostIf, by chance, you're curious about if you actually have it installed and possibly forgotten or
if you'd like a quick check on popular plugins you might have use this link for a quick sanity check and links to upgrade versions of what you have installed.

Pete, thanks for the heads up! BTW, there is also a discussion of this issue going on in this THREAD.

I just now un-installed Quicktime, but yet his link says it is still there.... or remnants of it anyway.... Where are you seeing these residual files? After I uninstalled this program, I checked everywhere -- Start menu, Control Panel, and even the Registry. There was nothing left behind.

I think Charles is just assuming there are residual files because the "sanity check" link is falsely reporting it's still installed.

I ran my own sanity check, the one I always do -- visual inspection of all the applicable paths, visual inspection of the registry, and, for good measure, run Revo Uninstaler to confirm it.

Yes, I was referring to the Quick Sanity check saying there was something still on my system.

Sepiana, do you use the free version or the Pro Version of Revo? I've been wondering whether it would be worthwhile to buy it.

Rita,
I just use the free version. It does an excellent job. I highly recommend it.
As a side note -- Revo was the program recommended to me by the Topaz Labs techs when I had a problem with one of the plug-ins. I couldn't install the update because the older version wouldn't "disappear". Revo took care of the problem!
