Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme. The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE: The idea is that your favorite color should take center stage in the photo (or photos) you post in this challenge. So, get your camera and focus on your favorite color!

I took a shot of the common Dandelion to illustrate my favourite colour. It is too often overlooked as a humble weed - but I like it!

Dennis,
You got this challenge to a great start! Your interpretation of the "What's Your Color?" theme is spot on. I love how you framed your favorite color (yellow) with the green of the grass and leaves. Well done!
BTW, we are on the same wavelength. I like dandelions. I don't consider them weeds; to me they are little flowers which brighten up an otherwise monotonous stretch of green grass.

I'll go with green especially complemented with blue. We're in England at the moment and yesterday was a fine spring and very green day so I'll go with this countryside scene with some white lambs and a touch of yellow (the rapeseed is coming into flower) Tony

Tony,
What a beautiful capture of a pastoral scene! It looks so English! I love how you included blue, yellow, and white and, yet, kept the main focus on the various shades of green. Great job!

My favourite colour is also green. It is the colour most restful to the eyes, the colour of nature. I took this picture at the start of a walk yesterday. Who could resist the temptation to explore this green-lined entrance to Bushy Park? Brenda

Great interpretations of the theme so far. I am another one who likes the humble dandelion.

Beautiful colorful photos. Scenery photos are always my favorites.

Brenda,
What a beautiful image! I love the composition. The leading lines formed by the path, the trees, and the fences are so inviting; they draw us into the image and make us wonder what lies ahead. Great job!

This time of year, I love the greening of the world, but day in and day out, my favorite is blue. This photo was taken 2 days too early, but I missed last week being out of the country with no way to get photos from my camera to the internet, so here is my initial shot at "Blue". I'll keep looking for another chance that's more timely. This is the taxi service at the Ancient Mayan city of Coba. We walked in (about 2.5 km), then I climbed to the top of the Nohoch Mul temple (wife just watched - she doesn't do heights well), then took the luxury transport back to our tour van. This is the temple:

Rick,
Great finding! You captured the blue color in a very interesting situation. I really like the angle (perspective?) of the luxury transport shot; it exudes motion. Well done! Thanks for being honest and admitting that "This photo was taken 2 days too early". I will look the other way. I also appreciate your dedication to this challenge and that you will "keep looking for another chance that's more timely".

thought I would be different. whippet,
I like your interpretation of this theme; it is indeed a different one. It is OK to be different, think out of the box, be creative/original in the WP challenge as long as . . .
- Your photo is your own, i.e., it was not taken by someone else. - Your photo was taken during the week of the theme.
BTW, you can find more information on the WP challenge in this THREAD.

Well, that didn't take long. Here is my "timely" blue shot. Took the dog out for a run at the farm and was intrigued by the blue trim on the house. With a little work in LR, I brought out some indigo in the otherwise black roof too.

Tony... love the pastoral landscape. I was thinking that it looked like England even before I read that you were there. Great stuff!
Dennis... I've always liked roads or paths with overarching trees.
Whippet... I'm a dog guy too. Good idea on that.
