Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be yours, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

I began teaching first grade in 1967 (yes I'm that old!). In my first class I had a little boy who was in foster care that I wished I could adopt. He gave me this little charm from a gumball machine......I have kept it all these years and often wonder how his life turned out.

Helen,
Your interpretation of Remembrance is so special. I really like how you captured this precious gift on a black background, with nothing to detract from it. The history behind this charm makes it even more meaningful.

This is the last thing I remember at the pub yesterday as, after imbibing in one too many ales the rest of the night was a total blur.

Sydney, great thinking out of the box! The way you composed your shot really emphasizes your interpretation of Remembrance.

A remembrance marker - not a tombstone.

Can I put a remembrance without a picture? My computer has died. @ Sydney. You must have taken the picture before you had the 'one too many'. Great shot.

Thanks for the timely theme Sepiana. Remembering (and thanking) all of the men and women who sacrificed for their countries.

Frank - Great interpretation of Remembrance! Such a sharp image! I was able to read the inscription easily. Well done!
Bill - Beautifully composed shot! I love the way the sculpture is naturally framed by the trees. Great job!

Simple and to the point. My wife's mother, and also most of her mother's side of the family since 1914 are together here. The kind of solid people that built this country. Good to recognize pioneers as well as veterans on this Memorial Day.
