A warm day here so a good occasion to dig out a selection of products from a once major railway centre, St Thomas Ontario. Now better known for its beer than its trains as most of the 26 companies that once had lines running through there are long gone. So here are three samples of the craft beers from Railway City. St Thomas is also where Jumbo ended his days aged 24 in a railway related accident in 1884 and of course they do have a beer named after him and his name entered the English language to mean "huge". I suspect many people these days don't realise where the word jumbo came from ... but I digress ... Tony

Tony,
Great interpretation of this theme (and great thinking out of the box as well)! I love your composition; it resembles a variation of a triptych. I have to confess . . . it had me going for some beer (Brazilian though).
I knew about Jumbo but had forgotten his sad demise.

This old train station is a relic of the past. Once upon a time it stood where many train lines intersected and large rail yards abound. Nowadays it is just a historic attraction.

When I first used trains, people were their main accessory. Someone in a Ticket Office sold you your ticket, which was then checked by somebody else as you went on to the platform. Now we have machines to sell the tickets and mechanical barriers check them and let you through. That's progress! Brenda

What an original interpretation of this theme! Great shots! Your explanation made them even more meaningful. Well done!

That's exactly what I said when I learnt the history of this old train station. If those walls could talk . . .
Thanks for the comment!
