I see many of you use Topaz. I'm trying to load the trial of Topaz Simplify. It seems to download to my computer hard disk but I can't get it to connect to PSE. Their instructions just don't seem to work for me. Can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks,
Berie

I assume this is what you tried:
Mac:
a. Depending on the version of the Macintosh OS and the internet browser you use, the downloaded installer will either be placed in your Downloads folder or on your Desktop. It will be named with some variation of the plug-in name you downloaded and will have a file extension of .dmg. For example: topazadjust_setup.dmg
b. To access your Desktop, minimize or close any opened windows.
c. To access your Downloads folder, open a Finder, then click on your home folder (username)and then select the Downloads folder.
d. Double-click on the downloaded .dmg file to display the installer.
e. Double-click on the program installer to start the installation process and follow the on screen commands.
3. The installer will automatically attempt to locate the appropriate Photoshop installation location. It is recommended that you leave the default options provided in the installer. If your Photoshop (or other compatible host program)is not installed in the default location then additional setup steps will be required.
4.After the installer has completed, your software will be available within the available Photoshop or Photoshop Elements applications. * PaintShop Pro, Photo Impact, Serif PhotoPlus, Aperture, Lightroom and iPhoto users will need to complete some additional configuration steps. *For instructions on accessing your installed plug-in software, please see the section below Accessing Plug-Ins. After installing and running your plug-in for the first time (or after uninstalling and installing an update) you may need your product key. If you don't have access to your product key, please see the Product Key FAQ for instructions on how to retrieve your key via our online key system.
If so, where in the process does it fail?

Simone,
As far as I can tell the software is installed on my hard drive. Then I choose PSE and I get through instruction #3. I find Topaz Labs Folder on my hard drive library but.....there is no way to "Choose" or "Save/ok" to save it back to PSE. The Finder has no "Save".
What am I missing?

So just to be clear, you select and then run the Topaz Labs installer?

Yes, I ran the Installer and it is installed on my hard drive.
Then "Set up Instructions" appears.
I choose PSE.
Then the 5 directions appear.
I get through #3. I find Topaz Labs Folder on my hd library but then there is no way to choose it. I'm totally confused at this point.

Sorry Berie, but I am not sure what these 5 directions say, so it is hard to know what you are talking about. Perhaps provide us with some screen shots?

Ok, a little more searching online and I have found this from their Help Forum. Is this what you are talking about when you say 5 directions? If so, have you followed these instructions as shown in the link?

Simone, I went to the site you suggested and I downloaded the new Topaz Labs Photoshop Utility for Mac, opened up PSE and there was the Topaz plug-in. I can't thank you enough. I was just about to give up. I've downloaded quite a few other plug-ins with no problems.
Thanks all and now I can look forward to many hours of "Simplifying".
