Hi everyone, I would like to ask if there is a free action file available to repair old photos. It would help my old feeble brain a great deal.

Yes I have already downloaded that action from that site. Found it listed under "ëlive") ,
but could not get the file to open.

How are you trying to open this file? Is it just an .atn file? Are you using Elements 10 or 13?

I downloaded the file unzipped it and then loaded with PSE 13.
The action loaded ok but will not open.

How did you load this action? Via the Actions panel or via the Effects panel?
Is it OK for you to post the link to download this action? I could do some troubleshooting for you. If this is not possible, can you post a screen shot of the panel with the action loaded? |

Sepianna, I loaded through actions not effects This is the address I downloaded digitalphotographyformoms.com/edit-actions-presets/PSE with screenshot is on another laptop and I don't know how to transfer it to this laptop to include here. Sepianna I just tried loading through Effects and it seems to have accepted the action. It processed one photo so will test a bit more. Many Thanks |

Schaf,
I went to the website and downloaded this action -- DPM Old Photo Restore. (I believe this is the one you are talking about.) I loaded it via the Actions panel in Elements 13. You need to click on the tiny triangle to the left of the folder to open it. Then, all you have to do is highlight Step 1 and click on the Play button. The action works just fine.  |
