Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

Thanks for the theme Sepiana. I may end up posting a couple this week because I live in the Rose City and we do have a beautiful Rose Test Garden overlooking the city. But for today your theme sent me off to the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. It's an oasis of peace and calm in the middle of the city. This was taken with my Fuji X100T which has a 3-stop ND filter built in. Exif is ISO100, f14, 3.5 seconds with the ND filter in place. This was a perfect start to a day which will end up with fireworks and craziness, so I appreciate getting off to a lovely start.

We did our fireworks and craziness thing in Canada a couple of days ago (July 1st is Canada Day) so back to normal today tending our edible garden - put in raised beds a few years back and that makes weeding and harvesting a lot easier. At the moment salad is growing faster than we can eat it so stop by and help yourself! Here's an overhead shot of several varieties of lettuce, kale and green beans that are still a couple of weeks away from first harvest. First tomatoes are just about ready to eat. Tony

Bill,
Simply beautiful! The smooth silky water inviting one to just follow it into the garden. I just keep going back to your image and dreaming . . . What a perfect way to start a day!

Tony,
What a great image! So crisp and sharp! I can almost reach out and grab some greens to nibble on. I really like how you took this shot, looking down on the fruits of your labor framed by the raised bed.

Frank, great job! It looks so surreal! It is like snow in July. I love it!

I decided to add a photo of our local 'Abbey Gardens', in Bury St Edmunds, which people come from quite some distances to visit. Historically, this area was an Abbey and the remaining Abbey ruins are interesting to see. I took this photo, and others, just this afternoon using my mobile phone. I've tried a bit of HDR using Blending modes to, hopefully, give the image a bit more 'richness' etc. BTW, I am not a 'photographer' by any means. This is really just a 'snap'

Julie,
Great capture of a beautiful garden! I really like how you incorporated the garden path in your shot, going across the image. I just want to follow that path.

Many thanks for your comment, Sepiana. I hadn't thought about the path being there and any benefit to the image. Yes, follow the path ... and there is a huge expanse of paths, gardens and the ruins etc.

My apologies Sepiana the image was taken last year & although seating was this week the thought of uploading did cross my mind so in all fairness I've removed the image, I've always wanted to take part but finding time in the week is often difficult & the challenge changes week to week, so not to miss the chance of this weeks challenge. I nipped out into the garden this morning to grab this one, needed to resize it in pse to upload.
