Sepiana has posted a nifty little app that creates a b/w sketch type rendering of a color file over in the PSEditor section. However, when QTR resized the b/w conversion for printing, the resizing was incorrect. See the thread entitled "Getting into the Action -- B&W Sketch". My question is toward the end, and here's what I asked:
I use QTR for printing black and white, and it allows you to resize a large file (mine was 3000 x 4000 pixels) to fit the paper. I wanted to print on 5x7, but no matter what I tried it came out more like 2x3. Are you familiar with QTR? It's short for QuadTone Raster Imaging Processor (whatever that means!). Maybe I need to tell you more. (My posted image was reduced to 600x800 and that worked fine.)
I belong to a Yahoo group on QTR and I can ask there but I thought I'd run it by this group first.
Thanks everyone!

Problem solved. Turned out to be something simple. I posted my question over in the Yahoo! group and the developer of the program answered my question. Turns out jpg's sometimes vary as to how they're configured and can be incompatible with QTR. He suggested saving the file as a tiff - and that did the trick.

Paul,
Glad to hear all is well now. Thanks for posting back with the solution! It will benefit those who may also encounter this problem.
