Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE: The idea behind this challenge is to point your camera downwards to capture something (or someone). Also, to liven up things a bit, it would be nice if you explained where you were positioned when you took your shot. Happy Shooting Down!

At a pond near my house, these ducks look down for lots of food.

My sister and I are doing a photo trip tomorrow in Rocky Mountain National Park, so I'll be looking down on much of the country. Should be able to find something to fit the topic.

Looking 230 feet down the face of the Buffalo Bill Dam down at the North Fork of the Shoshone River, 15 or so miles west of Cody, Wyoming. If your hat blows off here, you're never going to see it again. Thanks for the theme Sepiana! I'm going to keep looking down for the rest of the week ... I've found about 45 cents so far! ;-)

Looking down on some slackers getting high in the back alley. I added some processing to create the urban grunge feel.

kdcintx,
I can't tell if your camera was pointing down but that duck was surely looking down. He was practically upside down. What a capture! Perfect timing!
EDIT: I am curious. How long did you have to wait around to get this shot? Ducks have a mind of their own!

Rick, I can't wait to see your photo(s). Rocky Mountain National Park? Beautiful part of the country! Your camera is going to be quite busy pointing down.

Bill,
What a capture! It is like Vertigo! And your image is so sharp; the details are so clear.
BTW, this is like a trip down memory lane for me. I was at that dam too. And, yes, I thought what would happen if my hat blew off.

Tom,
Nicely done. It took me a while to figure out what you meant by "looking down on some slackers". Your camera doesn't seem to be pointing downwards to capture them.

Your camera doesn't seem to be pointing downwards to capture them It was a bit of a play on words as well, but my vantage point was one story up from where they were, so I trust that qualifies as looking down. It is little hard to tell since I was zooming in, but the car roofs give it away. I think.

Looking down on a pile of empty water bottles. High Pass filter with Difference blending mode. Note:Image was taken in low light and was very blurry, which lead to creative processing. "The rules are rather simple. ... You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun." Update: larger version of original foto.

Sepiana - I was standing on a rock wall looking down on these ducks. The perspective is a bit altered since I was using a long lens from a distance. Here's another photo that's more obvious. I'm looking down on ducks that are looking down. If you look closely, you can see his head upside down underwater.

We went for a walk along the beach at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, just to the east of Port Angeles. Kept looking down in the hope of finding some sea shells, but not a single one. So I had to be content with photos of my son's feet, and a feather. Dennis
