The images I selected to showcase this week are: The Newer Train Station South Charleston, Ohio........by John I always enjoy seeing pictures from towns across our country that I'll probably never visit. John's gallery has a varied selection of such images. I liked the perspective he chose for this train station with a hint of the older station in the background. Geelong Lifesavers.......by jackscrap What an interesting group of sculptures! Like John, Jackie has submitted an image that gives us a glimpse of her corner of the world. You can find out more about these fascinating sculptures here. Dragonfly On A Mullein Plant.......by jjr1770 (Judy) Universal in its appeal to photographers, but hard to capture in such exquisite detail, Judy has presented us with a beautifully photographed dragonfly against a softly muted background. My selection for this week's IOW title is.......Gettin' High in Low Places.........by Tpgettys I was immediately taken with this image. Sadly this is a scene that has no geographic boundaries. I particularly liked the way Tom used color to tell this grim story.

Thank you Helen for choosing my Dragonfly photo as one of your pics this week - I'm so glad you liked it. Congratulations Tom on your IOW - I agree with Helen on the impact of your choice in color. Loved your train station John, don't see many like that. Jackstrap, those sculptures where so interesting; thanks for bringing them to us.

Thank you for judging this week Helen! Fantastic choices. For me it is the subject matter that really stands out in Tom's excellent photo.
Congratulations to all this week!

Helen, thank you for judging this week; you chose a wonderful set of images!
Thank you especially for the IOW honor! I was on a second story balcony and zoomed in to get the compressed perspective. I used an old tutorial for adding grunge/urban color, and brought the subjects forward slightly using the spherize filter.
