I am a hobbyist who first start in 1980 during the film age. Conversion to digital has been a bit difficult, but I am starting to finally make some progress. I have used Elements in the past, but I do not upgrade to every release. Most of the really good photographers in my camera club use Lightroom and Photoshop, in addition to other software such as Topaz, Nik, etc.
At their urging, I joined the Adobe Creative Cloud, but most of them are doing photography professionally, at least part-time. I do not have such ambitions and feel that Elements will give me the results I am looking for. Barbara Brundage highly recommended this forum for help with my questions on PSE 14, since she does not plan on doing a Missing Manual on the latest release.
I look forward to learning and sharing with the members of this forum.

Welcome. I believe PSE is all we amateurs need to do amazing photo enhancement and repair. I have tried 'full blown' Photoshop and found it to be overkill for my needs. But then again, that's a personal opinion based on what I need PSE to do for me. I believe you will be happy with PSE and I know you will be happy here.
