Thankyou to all those who posted images to the gallery this past week, not only have you made it difficult to choose a winner but it has also been quite a pleasure. Some of the images that made me smile are as follows -
PeteB / Blue hearts revelry - Your recipe/treatment of this image is spot-on, great style and composition and how I wish a soundtrack could accompany this scene.

jjr1770 / The female house finch - I love the clarity and details in this little birds plumage, lovely background really accentuates the subject.

deany / The skeleton and the rose - Once again Dean shows us his romantic side, I am quite impressed by all the subtleties? of the elements one can see in this image, the water droplets are a lovely touch.

dandc / Still standing - Interesting contrast between the stone elements and the grass, great leading line begins at that first old pillar and then leads me down into the rest of the scene, incredible depth is probably what I'm trying to say.

dandc / The Dixiana Shay - Is there anything more fun than a ride on a steam train, especially when you can see the driver pulling down on the cord and the steam billowing out the top.

IOW
Tarheel / Rebecca's graduation picture - I love how relaxed Rebecca is looking in this candid portrait. I'm glad you posted this B&W version as I think a colour version would have had too many distractions, though it's hard not to go past a girl as pretty as Rebecca is.
