As I have said before, my day-to-day life is usually just a bit too rough and involved to be carrying around my DSLR; thus, many events that should be documented photographically only live within my memory with no photographic evidence to back up the stories.
A few days ago, after we had quite the exciting moment and laid a silage truck on it's side, with nary a camera among us, I decided to start carrying our HP-M415 digital point-&-shoot camera in a holster on my belt; although it takes excellent pictures, it just does not compare with our DSLRs, but it sure beats no camera at all.
Before I figured out that I could turn OFF the date/time stamp, I had taken a couple hundred pictures that have a big bold white date/time emblazoned across the lower-left corner; this is fine if one is submitting images as evidence in a court case, but not very aesthetic.
I have been able to clone/heal away the stamp on some of the images; on others, I have used the magic wand to select the bold white numbers and fill the selection with a camouflage pattern so it is not nearly so noticeable.
My question is (and I know this is asking a lot): Is there any way that I can get the camera to re-save the images already taken MINUS the date/time stamp ?

BuckSkin ......I have no idea how this works but did a search and found this. You can trial it to see how it works. In order to save the pictures you have to purchase.....but depending how important the pictures are to you the price may not be an issue. Here's a screenshot of the costs:

You might want to try the content aware tool in Elements. Sometimes does a pretty good job of covering things up.

We used this HP-M415 for several years prior to getting our DSLRs; and, up until just a few days ago, every picture it has taken has that silly date/time stamp; at the time, I thought it was a pretty cool feature. The two old 35mm point-&-shoot film cameras we had prior stamped the date/time on the film in a reddish-orange color; so, we have years and years of photos with date stamps. If I undertake to de-stamp the entire collection, that $20 program might just prove to be a good investment. I was just working on some pictures where the stamp was in stalk ground (where the corn silage had just been cut); cloning was just too obvious; so, I made a selection of the stamp, added a blank layer with the selection active, moved that layer and thus the selection onto similar stalk ground ( I was not sure I would be able to move the selection like that, but it works ), expanded the selection by two pixels, and then copied the selection to the clipboard. I then pasted my selected stalk ground onto a blank layer and used the "move" tool to place it atop of the bold white stamp, thus obscurring it within a tangle of corn stalks; it actually looks pretty cool. BUT, it sure is a lot of work....... Thanks.

If we are talking about the Content-Aware Move tool (Q), this tool was introduced in Elements 12.
If we are talking about the Spot Healing Brush tool (J) in Elements 7, this tool does not have the Content-Aware setting. This setting was introduced in Elements 9.

<snip> My question is (and I know this is asking a lot): Is there any way that I can get the camera to re-save the images already taken MINUS the date/time stamp ? I've found On1 10's perfect eraser superior to PSE magic eraser. On1 has a free 30 trial for their entire suite (no water marking or saving restrictions) If you don't want to bother with a 30 day trial Perfect Effects is totally free ... www.on1.com/products/effects10free/
