If you haven't already seen this, Yahoo finally admitted that back in 2014 500 million passwords were hacked; so, if you have not done so already, please go and change your Yahoo password!

Thanks, Simone; I saw something about that on the TV news.
I have an old yahoo e-mail that I haven't used in years except for occasionally e-mailing to it myself when testing and experimenting.
The reason's I switched from yahoo to gmail are many; let it be enough to say that as broke as I am I would not switch back to yahoo for a thousand dollars; yahoo was that frustrating to deal with.
To be safe, maybe I should just see if I can completely close out of that yahoo account; is that even possible ?

The only reason I have it is for Flickr, which I still use, but that may change depending on what the new owners do with the service. I remember I had an old Flickr account which I no longer wanted/needed, trying to delete it is almost impossible and their staff are not very helpful when it comes to deleting an old unused account. So, good luck with trying to delete it, let us know how you get on.

I too, gave up Yahoo quite some time ago. My isp at the time, used Yahoo as host for their email accounts. I opened a Google account.

I do need to find time to close out that account.
A few days ago, my G-mail received a message from my old Yahoo mail that I definitely did not send.
I did not open/read the message and immediately deleted it.
It makes me wonder just who else may have received these mystery emails.
I don't think my actual name is associated with the Yahoo account and I mostly only ever used it for joining forum sites and such; there shouldn't be any "sensitive" information involved.
