Helen It's hard to choose, I like both versions, but if I had to choose, it would be the Simplify version. I like the way the blue of the bench pops out. Both are very effective. agg

I'd go with B&W and I'd also crop it so the things on the left hand side would be taken out - they cause me a distraction point. ~bruce.

I quite like the B&W version by PeteB , also the latest version by fotofrank . Here is my offering; cropped and desaturated (except for the shoes) and a blur vignette.

bnk1953 and here I thought I was adding a sense of depth by including a peak into the other room, but I can see what you are saying about a distraction. My eyes do go to those onions on the wall. I need to rework my b&w version of this image and when I do I'll crop as you suggest. fotofrank.....thanks for having a play with this image. I like the deeper color that you were able to bring out and the shoes look sharper. What I'm finding I don't like is the rough uneven quality of the wall behind the bench. So for a color version I think I like what I got with Simplify. Tpgettys.....I appreciate you taking the time to work on this image. While the blur vignette does help draw our attention to the shoes on the floor, I am wanting that shoe on top to be in focus. So for my taste I don't think that would work for me. I see you also applied a crop as Bruce suggested. Hope to try to come up with another b&w version tomorrow. Thanks for your input everyone!

OK, so I tried another B/W version. Better than my first but not as well done as PeteB. I also tried the crop that bnk1953 suggested.
