So, I downloaded the trial version of Topaz Glow 2, and this is my first attempt. I like it the result, but it's NOT what I was looking for... I wanted to get that glowing red outline look that I see so often from people using glow. I'm going to keep experimenting until I get the look I want. Or watch a youtube video or 3 Here's the original: TG2:

After more experimenting (and figuring out where the pre-sets were!) I found almost what I was looking to do under the "neon" presets. Now I don't know which version I like better; but I do know that this is fun, and I hope to have time to try lots of photos with this during my 30 day trial to see if I want to purchase it!

I really like what has happened to the trees in your first try, Wendy.

Thanks, whippet, I do too, and I'm looking forward to trying this technique with some fall color photos!
