I'm not certain if this is the correct area to post, if not possibly a moderator will move it. Recently I decided to have one of my composite images printed onto canvas and framed. I chose a floating black frame that I was extremely happy with. I thought it might be useful for displaying web images, but a pure black frame really didn’t enhance the image as well as the floating frame. I decided to create one electronically. The trick was to have 2 black layers with enough difference to simulate the floating aspect. The Original psd file including all the layers is available on CloudUp as a zipped file { cloudup.com/cqb1SGphmmy } if you’re interested in the steps, or for that matter changing any aspect. When I used this I found drawing diagonal lines at each corner through the 2 black layers added a bit of realistic joinery.

Thank you for sharing your file. I've found it interesting although I don't know if I'm using it correctly. Would it be possible for you to show a finished page to give me an idea of whether or not I'm on the right road.

I downloaded your file and made this frame. I hope this is what you had in mind.

Peter,
Thanks so much for fuelling my frame addiction! I love frames! I will rename your file so that I will remember to give the credit to you. I haven't played with your file too much; this is just the result of using your frame "as is" but I can see the potential for some varied interpretation. The layers are there!

I put this together quickly so it's not perfect .... the frame is able to be resized so it can be used with any image with 4 90 degree corners cloudup.com/cl0tpS10eI0

That frog is just too cute for words. Forgot to give credit for the frog photo. It's a stock photo that came on my HP computer.
