Our city maintains an International Lily Garden. Sort of surprising for a town located in an almost desert. One can lose himself here when the lilies are in full bloom. My wife convinced me to take some pictures one afternoon. I was hooked. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance this year but I've attached an earlier image. In my next post I'll post my "Lily Fest" montage.

When we had a pond in our garden, I had several lilies. They are beautiful. We are never short of water here. It never stops raining!!

We were in Edzell, Scotland (about midway between Aberdeen and Dundee) for three years. My wife kept a rain log. If only for 10 minutes it rained every Sunday we were there. Edzell and the people were fantastic. We loved the trains. We routinely we would take the Night Rider into London to shop, tour and visit friends. And everything in the country side was green. A beautiful color.
