I regularly turn on my Elements Editor 14 to find that my preferences have disappeared; so much so that I export my current prefs and have the psp file available to immediately overwrite the standard prefs I am presented with.
This is/has been an ongoing concern in Elements 11 and 14 and in Windows 7 and 10
Why should this happen and how can I stop it?

athegn,
I had something similar happen when I first installed Elements 11 although it happened on one computer only. My customized Preferences would not stick. The solution was . . .
1. Launch Elements as administrator by right-clicking on its desktop shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator". 2. Do all the customization you want. 3. Close Elements. 4. Open Elements but this time do it as a standard user.
It has been my experience that quite a few glitches in Elements can be fixed with these four steps. Hope they will work for you too!

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. A friend fixed it but never said how. This is good to know. Thanks for posting.

Thank you.
Of course this morning it opened with my prefs. However closed and reopened with admin rights, set my prefs. closed and reopened as standard. Prefs as expected.
Hope this will continue; will report if not.
Now back to print dialog!!
