Can I change the print dialog so that at the end of printing an image the box clears the image currently there, so that when I reopen the box the new current image I am working on can be printed.
I do not want to reprint the previous image(s)
Any advice please?

Hi athegn , You didn't say which version of PSE you are using, but I think the print dialog works pretty much the same in recent versions. When you want to print, all images in your photo bin show up in the print dialog. However, once you are in the print dialog you can select the images you don't want to print and click the Remove button at the bottom (see the attached screen capture). If I misunderstand your question please ask again. FYI: I think this has been changed in the latest version (PSE15) so that only the image in the edit window is passed to the print dialog.

Thanks . It seems that I will have to buy PSE 15 to replace my 14. Not Yet; normally upgrade every 2 or 3 versions e.g went from 11 to 14.
Adobe obviously saw sense in 15. Wonder why they did not use that workflow in earlier version?

Hold on your horses! I have Elements 7, 10, and 11 through 15. As far as I know, Adobe has made no changes in the Print module in Elements 15. (Someone correct me if I am wrong.) When you go to Print >. . ., Elements will display in the Print dialog ONLY the image which is in the workspace. If you want all the images (or some of them) to go to the Print dialog at the same time, you need to select them in the Photo Bin. Elements won't do it for you.
This has been true in earlier versions of Elements and it remains the same in Elements 15.

Well, I know I've sometimes wound up in situations where I have 5 or 6 photos on the left side of the print dialog, and it's a pain dealing with the situation. Of course, now that I'm writing about it, I can't duplicate it, but has happened to me many times.

Over the years I have ended up with many unwanted prints because of this, and yet I can't duplicated reliably at the moment either. It happened to me twice today, but I can't figure out why.

I don't remember this ever happening to me. It has been my experience that, if I end up with multiple photos in the Print dialog, it is because I told Elements to do it. Ex.: I have 6 photos in the Photo Bin. Elements sent to the Print dialog only the 3 photos I selected.
However, I am not saying it can't happen, i.e., that Elements won't misbehave. It could be that, in the case of athegn, Elements is misbehaving. However, the point I am trying to make is that, as far as I know, Adobe made no changes in this area in Elements 15. Elements will send to the Print dialog ONLY the photo which is in the workspace (which is automatically activated/selected). If you want to send multiple photos from the Photo Bin to the Print dialog, you have to tell Elements to do it, i.e, you have to select them yourself. I just hate seeing someone rushing to get Elements 15 under the assumption that Adobe changed things.

Furtherto this. Today I had two images in Photo bin. One was the main image and the other I had selected so that I could copy it into the first (expanded canvas of the first so it and the second would be on the same print) and then print the amended image only.
When I went to the print dialog there was the other image; that is what I do not want. I only want the image I come from to be in the print dialog.

If you want to send multiple photos from the Photo Bin to the Print dialog, you have to tell Elements to do it, i.e, you have to select them yourself. This is demonstrably not true. I just wish I could figure out how to demonstrate it.

I don't doubt you (and athegn) at all. I have been playing around with Print since I joined this thread. I just don't seem to encounter the problem brought up in this thread. I am going to do more testing with Elements 11 and 14 (the versions athegn has).

Adding info to Sepiana's post. Adding the details of how to select images in photo bin. Select Images for Printing Using the Photo Bin before going to the Print dialogue.
1) For a single print click the image in the Photo Bin. 2) To print multiple images use Ctrl-Clicks to choose the images. (I don't remember what Ctrl is on a Mac.) Notes: 1) A white border appears around the Photo Bin image(s) selected for printing.
2) The current active image in the Editor will have a blue border in the Photo Bin. 3) An image can have both a blue and white border. 4) To not print the active Editor image, (with a blue and white border), CTRL-Click to remove the white border. Edit: 5) Ctrl-Click is a toggle. It adds and removes the white border.

As I promised earlier, I did some more testing using Elements 11 and 14 (the same versions used by athegn).
Elements 14 -- I could not replicate this scenario.
Elements 11 -- I was able to replicate it.
Here are my findings.
If I open two or more images in Elements 11 and immediately go to Print, Elements 11 will send all the images to the Print dialog. Then, if I close the Print dialog and select one or more images in the Photo Bin, Elements will do what is supposed to do -- it will send only the image(s) I selected.
