In Digital Scrapbooking, adding descriptive text to your page is referred to as "journaling"
In the thread "telling a story" I was talking about telling a story on your layouts using the photos (and some embellishments), but here I wanted to highlight journaling as a technique to add the 'story' to your page.
When we make our layouts, the story behind them is crystal clear, but as the years go by, we tend to forget the details. Adding journaling to your page, will truly remind you of the feelings of the day.
Don't be afraid of journaling. It can be as simple as a short sentence or some well-chosen words, or it can be the focus of your page.
Without journaling, this layout would lose a lot of meaning:
And, who would know the story behind these photos without a little journaling?
Or something as simple as a sentence about a night out:
Remember - journaling doesn't have to be paragraphs and paragraphs of text. A simple thought on a page is all you need.
