My wife wanted something special for the oldest grandson. So I got him to cooperate for a photo. I created this magazine cover. My wife put it in the front of a three ring binder. All his art work went into this binder.

You have some cutie grandchildren. Just look at that smile. I like the concept of a magazine cover. What a great idea to use it for the binder.

If you want to change up your backgrounds a little - without going all 'scrapbooky' on them - a brush, with a slightly lighter color than your background, can add interest to your page. Keep your brushing on it's own layer, so you can delete the layer if you don't like the effect. To confine the brush strokes to a specific area, make a selection with the rectangular marquee tool first, then brush.
