Hello Everyone, I am Simone, storkington, and am part of the Admin/Moderators team for this forum. I thought it was about high time I introduced myself. I was part of the Elements Village (EV) forum under the same name, so some of you already know me; for those of you that don't, here is a quick intro. I am originally from Germany, naturalized British, currently living in Canada. I have always taken photos, but didn't take it further than holiday snaps until 2009, when I bought my DSLR. I quickly realised that I needed some photo editing software and decided on Photoshop Elements (version 9 at the time). Since then I have not only learned tons about photography, honing my craft, but have learned a lot about photo editing. These days I use LR5 in combination with PSE13 and some Topaz plug-ins. I also write a blog, love to travel and took the step to be part of this great team running the forum. I am hoping that we see some more introductions here, not just from people who are totally new to this forum, but also from those who migrated here from EV, as I for one, don't know most of you.

Hi, I'm Marianne. Living in the south of Norway. I've been a member of Elements Village for a little more than a year. I loved the spirit from that forum and I feel it has been transmitted over to this forum. I had a SLR i the "old days", for a short while, but for the most part it was just point and shoot until 2010. The reason I bought my first DSLR (Nikon D5000) was that we were going to sell our cabin, and the photographs provided by the real estate agent were very poorly, and I decided i could do it better my self. And suddenly I had a hobby. Later I purchased a Nikon D600, which I love. I use Lightroom and Elements 12, started with v.8, but thinking of getting the full Photoshop CC. Other hobbies are drawing, knitting, gardening (greenhouse). -And playing with my grandson. Reading books is a passion too.

I'm Andy, and I'm one of the administrators of PSE&M. I was an EV member for many years and like so many others here was saddened by the loss of that forum. I'm encouraged by the initial support for PSE&M and hope it will have a long and successful life.
I live in Connecticut, USA. I shot film as a kid, lost interest during my early 20's, then went to video when I had kids. When the kids got older I got back into photography with a Canon SD800IS P&S and then started getting into Elements. Since then I graduated to a Nikon D90, and have worked with Lightroom, the Topaz Suite, and onOne Perfect Effects.

Once upon a time there was a old girl, who was definitely NOT a princess, who lived on an Island in Victoria, BC Canada, and it just drove her crazzzy to have to take a ferry to get on and off this island! She moved to a mirrorless Olympic OMD camera (at the recommendation of Sir Ivor) and she loves traipsing through the forest and along the beach in her camouflauge hoodie to catch any creatures who might want their photo taken (or not). At one point in her life this definitely-not princess was obsessed with the the third great Canadian sport of curling (behind hockey and lacrosse) and hooked up with a team who became her best friends on the way to a few world championships and a proud spot in the Cdn Curling hall of fame. .....that sport was too darn cold, so she gave it up and became a not-very good golfer. She has a son who lives 1000 km away from her and she sighs regularly about that.....and she loves to tend her garden and is a procrastinator-extraordinaire at finishing quilts, cards and scrapbook pages. ....the End .....and the Beginning
