This week I came across this tutorial online at PSDBox, which creates a see-through effect. The example on the website is fairly straight forward and also provides links to the resources used in their example. Below is my version of this effect using a photo of our daughter and the background came from either Unsplash or Pixaby (sorry, I downloaded this a long time ago). I think this effect could work on pretty much anything, so give it a whirl, be creative, and share your creations with us.

I sure like the fantasy images you have been creating lately Simone! I need to give this another go; I couldn't get the folds and such in the shirt to come through like he does in the video.

Helen - looking forward to seeing your work!
Sepiana - Love where you took this effect.
Tom - Thank you for the complement on my recent new direction. I really like your attempt, although I know what you mean regarding the folds of the shirt, but somehow this works for me.

Tom - Thank you for the complement on my recent new direction. So, are you using a book or online class for this, or just out there doing it on your own? It certainly is a direction I would like to explore as well!

This technique offers lots of possibilities. I had to do another one.
- Ran the final file through Topaz Simplify. - Added a border effect with ON1 Effects 10. - The woman image is from Pixabay. - The background/texture image is by Kimi Boo.

Another one. Both pics from pixabay. I think this is a really good exercise in using selections and masks.
