I started out with Topaz to add to PSE and have the majority of them. I like the ability to tweak the effects. I got sucked into the LR & PS subscription. I like LR but still use PSE and Topaz a lot and very seldom us PS due to my lack of knowledge of it. In reference to your post I notice everyone is coming out with 'Presets' at reasonable prices that can end up nickel and dimeing you to death. Just wondered what other members thought about all these presets.

Just wondered what other members thought about all these presets. Hi Dave, Like you I have the majority of Topaz plug ins and used to use them a lot in the days before I used LR. When I moved to LR (before the CC subscription) I found that I was using PSE and the plug ins less and less, given that most of my post processing at the time was done in LR and I was using LR presets (mine are all free ones). Since moving to the full Adobe CC subscription I haven't used the Topaz plug ins at all, but that is probably mainly due to the fact that my editing needs have changed since I bought them. I use LR for all of my day-to-day editing, and then PS for editing that cannot be done in LR. I like to use the LR presets, as it really speeds up my workflow, but am honest, I haven't bought any, they are all ones that are free and I don't think I would ever pay for a preset. I can see the attraction to pay for say a particular PS Action, say a dispersing effect ones or something like that, but not any other "presets".

Dave,
I am in the same boat. I have most of the Topaz plug-ins (14 of them to be more precise) and I use them quite often, especially the artistic/special effects ones such as Impression, Simplify, Lens Effects, etc.
I notice everyone is coming out with 'Presets' at reasonable prices that can end up nickel and dimeing you to death. Just wondered what other members thought about all these presets. I have to confess that, when I first began using Lightroom and ON1 software, I did succumb to the call of third-party presets and bought some. I will NOT do it again. Although they are rather inexpensive individually, the cost builds up when you add them all. Also, I came to realize that the built-in presets in both programs are more than sufficient to fulfill my needs. However, if the presets are free, I will give them a chance. If they are not what I want, I will delete them.
