Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo this week that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. This challenge is all about getting you out there (or inside) with your camera and shooting something you perhaps wouldn't normally photograph. Have some fun experimenting!
The rules are simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping.
NOTE:
I thought Beginning would be an appropriate theme to start 2017. It offers plenty of interpretation possibilities; you can interpret it literally or figuratively. Grab your camera and let the shooting begin. Happy New Year, everyone!

Our New Year's Resolution is to try to make more regular contributions to the weekly theme challenge. So here goes - the beginning of the day, the beginning of our walk and on 2nd January, the beginning of the year. This shot was taken this morning in Nunhead Cemetery in south east London.

Brenda,
What a surprise! I wondered what had happened to you and Dennis. I am so glad you are back! Happy New Year!
And you came back with a bang. What a capture! Three interpretations of Beginning in one single image. I love the leading lines created by the path and the trees on each side. Great job!

A nice beginning from Brenda - and strangely enough my beginning has some similarities and some differences. It was taken yesterday January 1st and was the first shot I took in 2017 so the beginning of my 2017 image folder (I organize by year and month). It was the end of the day and not the beginning but it was a beautiful day for a change and the sun was just beginning to set as we ended our walk at a bridge over a frozen river. Tony

I don't know if this fits the criteria but I hope so. I took this photo today when out walking with the dog. This is land the Forestry Commission have taken over in the past 5 years and this is the start of a new wooded copse they are working on. Taken with my point and shoot Canon PowerShot A620 Camera!!!

Tony, what a beautiful winter scene! I love the leading lines, the vanishing point, inviting you deeper into the image. Great beginning image in this new series of WP challenges!

As it was said in the NOTE, this theme offers plenty of interpretation possibilities; it can be interpreted literally or figuratively. Very nice interpretation! I really your image.
I don't remember seeing you in the WP challenge before. So, welcome aboard! In a nutshell, this challenge is a three-pronged one: 1) get you better acquainted with your camera(s); 2) take your photography skills to the next level; and 3) provide you with many moments of fun.
You can read more about this challenge in . . . What is the Weekly Photo Challenge?

Portland State softball team returned from their winter break to a sunny, 24F degrees as they take some laps around the field to begin training for the 2017season. (Which by the way cannot come soon enough.) Thanks for the fun theme to begin the year Sepiana!!

I took this photo this afternoon from the balcony of my unit. It is a Qantas A380 which has just taken off and is beginning its trip overseas. I processed the image with the tonal contrast filter in Nik Color Efex Pro.

Bill, I love how your capture of the players in motion emphasizes the Beginning. Great perspective (angle?)! Another job well done!

Right after someone filled up this feeder early this afternoon, this little bird came flying in. There is no doubt in my mind that this is just the beginning of a black oil sunflower feast. Fill up the feeder and they will come!

A little late to the challenge... "Beginning" the day with some hot cider- Andy, . . . and I am a little late commenting on your entry. Sorry!
Very original interpretation! Beginning the day with some hot cider and a beautiful image of it. Great DOF with spot-on focus. Well done!
