I know this will sound silly...but...until this morning I had forgotten that the facility to ‘Group’ in the Layers panel had now been made available to us in PSE 15.
Having remembered, nothing would do but I had to try it out...and it’s wonderful. It really does reduce the length of the Layers panel (which most of you will already know) and keeps things neat and tidy.
Isn’t it amazing the little things that can please us...happy daze...

I like the concept of grouping. Adobe is making the need for "full blown" photoshop a thing of the past. Soon the professional will be the only ones using CS. And, really, if you are patient, you can get the latest version of PSE for such a reasonable price, it's a no brainier to upgrade. I'm thinking of leaving my brand new PSE14 in the closet and moving straight to 15.

BillieJean, glad you brought the attention to Layer Grouping. I have to be honest. I keep forgetting this is one of the new features in Elements 15 (although I use it all the time in Photoshop).

You don't really need to upgrade to Elements 15 just for the sake of this new feature. As far back as Elements 7 this feature has been available to Elements users as a FREE third-party action (as this post explains).

I have the action for grouping and ungrouping. I just think it's great grouping is now available within the new version of PSE

I fell in love with the grouping and colored layers as soon as I downloaded the trial version.

This was one of the features we had been asking Adobe to bring over from Photoshop. We finally got it. However, for those who won't upgrade to Elements 15 for whatever reason, the free action I mentioned is one of the best alternatives. (The other alternative being Elements+ for $12.)
